An African proverb says, “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.”  We view our total population – staff, the persons and communities with which we work, and our financial partners – as a vast network, inter-connected, bound together by mutual trust and shared commitment.  In a world where singular pronouns dominate – you and me, him or her – from which we may, but often do not, forge community, we work with folks for whom plural pronouns are primary – we and us – relationship first.  Synergy.  Mutuality.  Partnership. Reciprocity. Solidarity.
